Management System

The reference base map for the pilot area is prepared using ArcGIS online resources to meet the requirements, till time satellite imagery is procured. A grid is prepared in the form of 1K and 250 m as per standards after which the grid wise digitization & delineation of various required features for base maps like roads, rivers, and streets take place. The grid wise base map data are quality checked and merged together.

E-City Management System

Field data collection involves capturing the location information by performing the DGPS survey and collection of other secondary attributes from the ground reality. Firstly, the boundary for all the department properties are established using the DGPS with reference to the GCP’s established. Secondly, the surveyed data is processed by adding attribute data to the survey data. The surveyed data is quality checked and validated before it is converted into GIS compatible format.

IoT Based Smart Vehicle Parking

The final base map preparation involves merging and producing one single map from digitized map data and field-collected data. Simple layer segregation and seeding of the additional attributes gathered from secondary sources and from the field take place. The map is prepared on universal standards and respectively corrected and updated based on the quality checks. Finally the base map is published in the ArcGIS Online, which can be accessed and utilized by various applications.

The web application is developed based on the ‘Tourist Information System’- a public web portal application for the general public and tourists, ‘Decision Support System’- an administrative web portal application for departmental users. The exhibited applications are configured and demonstrated using the ArcGIS online platform that is then processed into relevant web maps.
