This role offers hands-on experience in map-based data creation with leading GIS software’s, along with valuable exposure to real-world projects.
Educational Qualifications:
B.Sc., Computer Science, Geography, Geology or Diploma in Computer Science
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, process, create, and analyse GIS data from various sources, including satellite imagery, public datasets.
- Create, update, and manage GIS maps, layers, and databases using software like ArcGIS, QGIS, or other GIS platforms.
- Perform data validation, editing, and quality control to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of GIS datasets.
- Stay updated with the latest GIS tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced GIS Software Developer with expertise in open-source & ESRI ArcGIS
technologies to join our team in Coimbatore. You’ll design, develop, and deploy Geospatial
applications using open-source/Esri tools and libraries.
Educational Qualifications:
B.Sc., Computer Science, Geography, Geology or Diploma in Computer Science
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain GIS applications using PostGIS, GeoServer, ArcGIS Javascript SDKs and OpenLayers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geospatial data and services.
- Design and implement data models for efficient geospatial data storage and retrieval.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Contribute to open-source projects and communities
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in GIS software development
- Proficiency in open-source & Esri GIS technologies (PostGIS, GeoServer, ArcGIS Javascript SDKs, OpenLayers)
- Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or Java
- Strong understanding of geospatial concepts and data structures
- ESRI ArcGIS development experience (e.g., ArcGIS JavaScript API)
- Experience with spatial databases and data formats (GeoJSON, Shapefile)
- Hands-on experience with Agile lifecycle development (Scrum)
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps
Nice to Have:
- Experience with QGIS, GRASS, or other open-source GIS tools
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization
- Familiarity with Linux and Docker
